Melissa Maranville, PhD-c is the Founder/CEO of DeVille and Associates, an Interagency Law Enforcement Training agency located in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. DeVille is Officer-Focused and Victim-Centered, building bridges and closing gaps between law enforcement and victimization.

Melissa has been researching and developing training content for law enforcement education and training for over 25 years. Her work has focused on topics such as modern-day sexual assault and rape investigations, cryptocurrency and the dark web investigations, illicit activity in the free trade zone, human and sex trafficking investigations, money laundering and transnational organized crime, social media investigations, and moderator training, and cell phone technology and forensic data recovery.

Melissa's education includes Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Tennessee and a PhD-c from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her dissertation topic is "A Case Study of Ineffective Legislation: Moral Panic and the Sex Offender Registry."
